i've got the docu on dvd. The reason they were booing them is because they were expecting an acoustic set (quiet) and they guys turned up and blew there wigs off! Good for them and it shows what talent they were by keeping it going and keeping they high standard brilliance up!! I also THINK David Bowie was in the audience here and thats why he signed up Stevie to play on Lets Dance.

I disagree, I saw Butterfield live several times in 1966 and he is a shadow in this clip. As a young man he was unbelievably great-he is only 42 here and has declined tragically.

It was GREAT!!!!!!! I've heard his 2007 concert at B.B.'s, and he was a lot better this year. He didn't have Jon Paris there to play Harp for him on the Muddy Waters song, so he did Bony Moronie, and the crowd went crazy. I would recommend you go see him. If you like Johnny, you should also go see Jon Paris at B.B. KIngs NYC on Monday nights. He plays a wicked slide guitar,and has a great band.

He really is "tearing it up" again...I saw him late September at B.B. King in NY & he rocked the place! He is seriously getting his "growl" back, looked stronger physically and interacted with the audience more. Egar followed and he was terrific too.
