He is such an incredibly talented and sexy man, lovely poet, superlative songwriter, I would LOVE to meet him in person. Just to bask in his shadow would be an amazing honor! We're actually in agreement here. Beyonce had a very luck break with Crazy In Love, especially considering the fact it also featured Jay-Z. I'm sure there are some church and club singers who are very competent vocally, but due to a multitude of reasons, whether it be their age, image, or lack of distinguishable characteristics, they will remain singing in such contexts. Christina actually got rejected my many labels with record bosses stating her voice sounded far too generic like other girls.

Here, too, we'll have to agree to disagree. There are lots of former girl group singers who have failed miserably as solo acts due to everything from mismanagement to lack of talent. A large part of any singer's success, regardless of how talented they are, can be directly attributed to good PR. You can go to a random church this morning or a nightclub later on and find women who can sing circles around Beyonce and Christina, yet they may never get a record deal.

That's why the grammy's and other award shows asks her to do these covers..Because she's really the only current vocalist that can handle them. Christina does over-do it sometimes, but when she is singing like this, she is in her element, and beyonce can't hang with that.
