I really feel this post. If only I had a time machine. My parents put me on antidepressants when I was only 15, instead of helping me the healthy way. I've been on SSRI drugs for over 20 years now, and will never completely escape them. My only hope is to some day get from 15mg/day to 10mg/day Paxil.

When i first started paxil the doctor gave me a pink 10mg pill and i was suppose to take a full one. I got really sick, threw up, shakes, dizziness, speech problem but when everyone went away my mind was so clear and it felt so good. But the next day i was afraid to take it again so i went back he told me to take half, it was very hard to get on it but now that i am i feel great, just worried about coming of it! But I wouldnt recommend it to anyone that hasnt already taken it!!!

I was on that AWFUL DRUG FOR 5 YEARS. I went on zoloft to get off paxil.. Took about a year to get off. Down to a speck of a pill once week and a speck of zoloft finally worked me through the grip of hell.. The video isnt BS. Dont take it EVER.

Take one of the other SSRI drugs instead - that's my advice. Avoid Paxil and Effexor, as those have the shorter half-life which causes SOME people to get withdrawals. Beatbreaka is also right, though, this does NOT happen to everyone. But do you want to risk it???

I just tried to wean myself else and I've had the zaps, dizziness. I felt like I was going to pass out. My dreams are so intense and horrible, I didn't want to go to sleep. My Dr. gave it to me because she didn't want me to be addicted to valium for my panic attacks. What a joke! I just couldn't do it and started taking the pill again. Paxil is horrible, don't take it for panic attacks or anything... What can I do???????

Paxil is withdrawal is worse than the original problem. It's horrible. The dizziness, headaches, moodswings, depression, suicidal thoughts... it's really, really bad. Something to hold out hope for: this doesn't happen to everyone. I think the numbers are in the 20-something percent. And only a percentage of those people experience severe withdrawals. Others just get the zaps, dizziness, and flu like symptoms for a few weeks. Good luck!

The main problem with Paxil Withdrawals is that they never seem to end. I dedicated an entire year to getting rid of Paxil once, and had to give up and go back on it. All that suffering and memory trouble was for nothing.

Again, I wouldn't think Perry was any less talented if he was gay (hell, Freddie Mercury for crying out loud!), but its the fact that he's straight, has one of the most bangin' wives from Hong Kong to walk this earth, and still wears bright pink and tight pants while dancing like a freak! I didn't disrespect Perry, but seriously, if it weren't for the perfect 10 Asian wife, I'd question where the man's sexuality lies! I know full well the man is an alt rock god, and what he's done for other bands, (though Porno For Pyros was weaker than Jane's Addiction) And Oasis is actually a great band. I happen to like both Jane's Addiction and Perry and Dave, as well as Oasis and Liam and Noel. And this video was ripped off of "Supersonic." There's not much else to argue there.

Oh, I agree, those were clearly their two better outings. But, I felt the sound was still there, and a few songs like this were still really well written. I was more saying that you had a highly improved Dave Navarro (not saying he was untalented in the 80s), and Perry has become somewhat of an icon for Lollapalooza, as well as becoming more of a singer than his earlier songs with Jane's. These guys could fill in the huge hole in alternative rock, but they have to want it and record it!

A few things: 1. This video idea was pretty much ripped off of Oasis. 2. Perry's fashion sense has gotten worse in time. 3. These guys need to crank another album out. The semi-reunion showed they were still a great songwriting force, and with the full group back, they could easily record another magnum opus to replace "Nothing's Shocking." Dave's better, Perry's better, the band is better, and now that its back, they need to capitalize on the alternative rock monster they created.
