yes it is, it was his trademark. i dont know if he played much else other than that guitar. He had a Gibson paf humbucker in the neck pickup. there's a albert collins signature guitar you can buy but the pickups are obviously not the same as what albert used but fairly close.

Although I wish that was possible. There are only so many things you can do within the blues half of the stuff that´s been done sounds exacly the same. There are a few guys who are keeping the blues alive though they're not playing pure blues. for eksample the dude from Red hot chilli pepper playis a few blues solos in his songs. You might want to check out Derek Trucks if you havent heard his stuff. He is one of the few doing new things to day.

Eric Clapton was sick with the flu when they recorded this, but when snaps into that solo, man it's amazing. If I didn't already play the guitar, this solo'd make me want to play.
Also, I hadn't noticed how much Clapton's voice had inproved since the 60's, but it's an amazing Change.

It was great to see Cream together again, but I have just one complaint. Even before the concerts were due to take place I was wondering whether Clapton was going to use a gibson SG. Interpretation aside, I feel that this particular guitar was the mainstay of the 'Cream Sound'. Anyway we were indeed lucky and glad to see them once again. A brand new album would go down a storm.

Albert Hammond Jr. is my hero. The music Albert makes with his own band is so different from what he does in the Strokes in a really good way. I love him as a solo artist. I also love him so much as part of the Strokes and I cannot WAIT till they get back into the studio. If it's really going to happen February 09, then we won't have to wait that much longer.
