I will NEVER fly in an American airplane again. The cut throat competition caused airlines to stop modernizing it's fleet and important repairs get passed over - I witnessed an aisle of seats unhinded and rocking back in forth on an AA - the flight attendent told the passengers if they don't like it they can wait for the next scheduled flight or they can sit down. I live in Canada - hate to brag about that but also another thing....Air Canada & Westjet only fly the most modern jets available. When I had to fly Amerian Airlines and Alaskan Airlines I was shocked to discover that these planes (ALL) were ANCIENT relics. They still had ashtrays and big box TV's in the aisles. WTF?!?!? Maybe it fell because the fucking rust bucket is 35 years old and the duct tape couldn't take it anymore??? Competition fucked your safety over - nothing is cheap!

im not sure that it was the ice on runway coz crews constantly check for that- the weather was not snowy as said in previous tv report.for the pilots to put wrong flaps setting is HIGHLY unlikely since they are highly trained professionals(their not just gonna let anyone fly 737).it could of been a blown out tire or MOST LIKELY an engine problem which prevented the plane to reach its takeoff speed.there is a VERY similar crash on youtube which seems to be a mirror image of this one
