I don't like to be around people that smoke, I don't smoke, and I would hope that the government would want to maintain healthy taxpayers- they pay taxes longer. I couldn't help but notice that in all the end of 2008 nostalgic montages about who we lost this year on the news & in magazines they kind of skimmed through Carlin's impact & his life. They concentrated more on Paul Newman & Heath Ledger; I don't know about u guys but I think George had if not more or at least as much of an impact as those guys. Carlin totally changed the way people did comedy; & his longevity; he was doing it for 40 years; he wasn't just a comedian he was the definition of it.

Well I don't know, there's a number of factors. Some Jews did choose to accept him, they became Christians. Others are still Jews, but follow Christ as the Messiah and are called Messianic Jews. Others didn't believe. Possibly because he died on the cross, which they thought (and Muslims still think) would not have happened to the Messiah or a great prophet. Others thought that he wasn't the Messiah because they thought the Messiah would deliver them from the Romans, not their sins.

Cuy, This clip is 18 years old so of course some usage of euphemisms change,language changes. Thats the whole point of the routine!!!! There is also something called artistic license used in parts. End of the day you are better to just enjoy the routine rather than analyse every detail, and you still got it wrong. What a fucking true nightmare you'd be to sit next to on a long flight, or a short one for that matter. If it is possibile to bore someone to death, I reckon you'd be the boy to see.

Those weird sounds you're referring to are cheers and claps. Listen to the first few minutes, there is very little laughing aside from one joke. And trust me, I can understand this, as it's pretty bottom of the barrel. Forgoing the fact that barely anyone says these euphemisms, Carlin's delivery and over all preachy attitude in this bit is probably what caused less laughs and more "yeah I agree with that" clapping.
