Palisades park was like a disney land in NJ. But it closed in 1963. Today, its now a buncha apartaments. Cannon did this song I believe in '62

Wow, time travel... This is one of the first songs I can remember from my childhood. This song blasting on the record player, me doing the twist with my sisters as toddlers, my Mom getting in on the dance action. Such warm and wonderful memories.

I am a proud American citizen, but I understand completely what you mean by your comment HvatKondrat. Our nations were at odds then as they are now, but back then American culture had a more innocent atmosphere, which the pop music at the time reflected. Today all the evils of our society (and all societies in some degree); racism, classism, consumerism, fear politics, and worse, are all out in the open for public scrutiny. The recording arts industry reflects this, too.
