the only point i was making is that page is sloppy live for example the missed notes of the beginning of since i been loving you from the song remains the same. He still came up with the great riffs and songs. I got to meet Jimmy here in Miami in the studio when he was making his album with Coverdale. I was in genuflect mood, was so humble and friendly.

Yeah he was a mess. Heroin. I remember that time well. I was in 10th grade, and Jimmy was nowhere to be found. Just disappeared after the death. No news, pics, nothing. Gone. Nobody expected to see him alive again. Then word got out he was going to do the ARMs shows. Everybody was so excited. We thought we were going to see vintage Page on the guitar. How wrong we were. His playing was very poor by his standards. But his fans gave him a pass because we realized he was human and was suffering.

Page, for whatever reasons, was indeed having a very off night. That does not make him a bad guitarist. I don't know what's worse, the people saying he's horrible because of one bad performance or the die hard fans saying this is passion and brilliant. It was one bad show due to drugs, depression or whatever. One thing for sure is it's not good. He is still a legend, he's still brilliant, still a major talent, but this show was not an example of it.
