nope. he was mediocre at that and at acting, and that is what attracted him to scientology. real forward thinking creative people can't be duped by cults, I'm sorry. he was never a great skater, just had a lot of personality and energy in the videos, and that got him some fame. as I said, there is a reason why a lot of his contemporaries kept skating and pushing the envelope, and he went on to acting in alvin and the chipmunks.

This is guy is amazing. It's such a shame that he is underrated while crap like Hannah Montana, The Pussy Cat Dolls, and Hannah Montana is played more on the airways. He sounds as good live as he does on CD, he is very down to earth, and is never stuck up. He doesn't act like he is better than everyone else. Do yourself a favor and go to one of his live concerts. Three of our sons actively played basketball in grade school and high school. In high school they were the guys who needed some of the coach's time to develop. This was more than he had time for i.e. other guys naturally gifted. No one knows how our three might have done. But Jason's coach knew he deserved the chance and gave it to him. BUT THIS SONG IS AMAZING! and so are the rest of the songs in the album. just goes to show how critics really don't know anything.... mraz songs are perfect: excellent melodies, lyrics and his voice is just so fantastic!It's rare to find an artist with such talent these days!
