i think of this performance this way: If this was an 11 year old kid doing this performance, all the guitar heads and music critics all over YouTube would be going apesh|t. Thing is, it's Jeff Beck, doing what he usually does: make brilliant music & sounds & textures. Mr. Beck here is probably pushing 60. But he's been pushing the guitar and music style envelope for the past 40 years, at least. Most 11 year old axe hero prodigies probably don't realize it, but there's a lot of Beck in them.

I started listening to Beck back in the 60's with the Yardbirds. We were saying "Oh My God" back then too. And then he really got good!!! Very unique style. Pluck the string once and see how many sounds you can squeeze out. The guy is an amazing guitarist!

^^^^ the video was a capture of one the moments when Beck is being Beck in his moment...or you might say when he's on top of his notch for the moment...I think its one of his best performances on youtube to see The Lord knows I want to see him live & am hoping he'll come to the states soon...
