Jeff Healey was blind and had eye problems all his life and eventually died from cancer from these problems. His death is a great loss as well as SRV's death in a helicopter crash in 1991. They are two very talented musicians, songwriters, and singers. God Bless you both and someday I hope to hear your sweet voices again.

Yeah it was cancer, he has been fighting it off and on all his life. It was cancer that caused him to be blind as a baby or young child I remember reading. Then he got it again several years back in his lungs and had to have one lung removed and I think maybe part of the other one. Thats one of the reasons he gave up guitar and started playing jazz again (horn) he thought it would make his remaining lung stronger, plus it was one of his first loves.(jazz) I read all this online on his site.

Actually, that is not true...I have a dvd...his last Austin performance he played AND sang with his eyes WIDE open...think he did it more after he was clean.

i think he died if cancer earlier this year ...i saw it in the paper. it didnt make the headlines stevie ray did but it still shook up the music world

Anybody notice that stevie didnt open his eyes threw the whole performance i dont know if he did it because of jeff or mabey he thought he cant see so i wont either i dont know just thought i should point it out
