Ich war gestern in diesem wunderschönen kleinen Kunstwerk. Dieser Film ist etwas ganz besonderes. Nicht nur der Chor, der ohne Frage sehr beeindruckend ist, sondern auch die Regie und der Schnitt des Films. Ganz nah dran und doch kein bisschen voyeuristisch. I take a bow!

They should have paid me to watch this one!....what a treat to witness these people who have faced many traumas, live in situations that are seemingly fine for them, because they have their minds and hearts wrapped around something that is bigger than themselves. Continuing to contribute to a community is evident in the pleasure they receive. Keeping their brain in gear, mouth in motion, and love alive. WOW! I bought this video (the film) on iTunes the other day. Let me tell you, its one of the best films you'll ever hope to see. These folks are amazing. I could have done with a little less of the director (of the film) injecting his "humor" into the film, there were times that I would have punched him in the head if I could. That being said, the film did an amazing job making me care so deeply about 24 people in less than 90 minutes. Simply brilliant.

Lyrically Dylan is far superior to everyone, period. If this was another time he would be a famous poet. Neil Young though is 2nd as far as "rock" artists go. He has his Dylansque moments, but he is no Bob Dylan, nobody but Dylan is. Songwriting wise and musician wise I've always felt Neil Younger had a better ear for melody and was a much better guitar player, whether it be acoustic or electric.

Absolutely love this film. Played it for my 82 year old friend, I'm 65, and we both cried at this scene. Everyone should see it to appreciate the elderly. Hopefully we'll be there ourselves someday.

That scene from the film is very touching. Two of this man's dear friends, both in their 80s, had just passed away that very week... I couldn't recommend the film (Young@heart) too highly. Simply inspiring.
