God gave us free will. God's not going to do anything if it involves affecting free will. If God is real or not, the Bible is still an important book to me. It's a good story of man. Humans will always walk hand in hand with their doom. That's what makes us more beautiful, because our lives can end just as they begin. Christianity caused a lot of suffering, just like other religions. Atheists, Muslims, Catholics ect. I think we just "are". Part of a big Electron. Just like Carlin said.

1) I was raised Christian. I gave it up years ago when I realized most of it didn't make sense, like when people say we suffer for our own good (Mother Teresa somehow got a HUGE following off of that). 2) Just because I don't practice benevolence doesn't mean I don't know what it is. 3) If God created us and we created suffering, then God is responsible for the creation of suffering. Indirectly, but still responsible. 4) God CAN'T show himself because he's just another invention of man.

God gives us free will because he is just and he wants the benevolent to be rewarded and the evil to be punished (sorry if you dont know what benevolent means) our suffering is a result of the human tendency to do bad we create suffering not God

First of all, no such thing as God. If there was, why wouldn't he just come down, show himself, and tell everyone who's right and who's wrong? Second, let's say hypothetically God does exist. Why would he give us free will if he wants everyone to believe in him? Wouldn't it make more sense for everyone to think exactly like you are, and believe in God without question? And if God loves us so much, why does he let us suffer, and die, and kill each other? For his own amusement? For fun?

We can barely live on our own without using other things unlike apes, chimps...
