It's not a 'room' it's a set,and the Blur set was spinning to create motion. Also,this video was made years prior to 'Song 2' and Suede aren't bouncing off the floors or the walls. They look simillar..I think Blur may have swipped it from Suede.

The Stay Together video was shot at Riverside Studios in London. In one part, we can actually see Bernard hanging upside down, playing his guitar. And Brett gagged. The band despise this video for too many empty symbolisms. The whole video doesn't fit the song, though, I think.

I actually love the song but I think it was made around the period where things started to break down with Brett and Bernard who shortly after left or was "turfed" out of the band. I respectfully disagree. On 'Suede' every song is a masterpiece, but on 'Dog Man Star' there's a couple tunes I dislike; This Hollywood Life and Modern Boys. The rest are very good but not all masterworks. That said both are albums that continue to inspire me.

Along with Trainspotting, this is one of the best adverts for nicotine and heroin(e) ever. Corinne Day wasn't the only one 'to blame' for make smack stylish. It seems a pretty silly moral panic now doesn't it? In retrospect suede are strangely prudish. Brett's sexuality was always very coy and his euphemisms for shagging make me think he is not bi or gay at all but asexual. Beautiful song, and the video defines everything that was stylish about the 90s. Glad it's all back in fashion now!

This work was mostly done in Adobe After Effects. The basic process for a head replacement: 1: Remove the old head. I paint a "clean" background (one with the head removed) in Photoshop. I track that clean background to the shot, and make a mask that reveals the clean background only where the old head was. 2: Stabilize the replacement head so it's stationary in frame. 3: Track the motion of the old head, and apply that motion to the replacement head. Many years ago, in what seems like another lifetime I spent 2 years of my life working with this band, making films for them (So Young & Introducing the Band) before this track was ever written or recorded, but I've got to say this is my favourite of all their songs, very very beautiful, and the film made (by Simon the drummer, so I believe) is absolute quality. Makes me feel strangely nostalgiac, and remember what a great band they were.

Ok, I'm gonna tell you the truth. I'm a music lover, I have favorite songs almost from every genre, hundreds of songs, and it's really hard for me to distinguish which ones make my hairs dancing on my skin more than others, but this song/performance is so powerful...I don't know man, it makes me feel weird. Bowie has always been a huge fan of Suede - but apparently there was also some rivalry at some point with Bowie seing "Brett & Co. as a threat to his "Queen of Space-Glam Pop" crown." (according to Suede Biography 'Love & Poison'.

Still a great song 16 years later. Suede might well be the last great band who's singles I was buying on vinyl 7 and 12 inch. before that the Roses, Mondays,Smiths, Neds, Nirvana,etc etc. After Suede everything was cd.the early single covers were iconic.

I never lived through Bowies' best glam days, and really got into Suede only in the mid-'90s, a few years after they began, but I've got almost all the albums of both and HAVE been paying attention- and in all honesty I still see very little similarity. Some of the vocals and the bisexual thing, yeah, but if anything I see more of T.Rex in them, and a lot of the Smiths. But Suede were still genuinely unique. I'd like to know what Bowie had to say on it, though, cause I've never heard from him.

This will grow on you because this sort of band is about the music. The fabulous frill that accompanies it is just adding to charm. "Suede" & "Dog Man Star" as albums, are far more sincere and well thought up musically than the string of hits that is "Coming Up". Having said that, I am yet to hear a bad album from Suede.

take time in listening, I went from album 1-5..,must be pretty weird going from coming up to this, but this will grow on u man, then check out god man star for the dark nights, after the brights nights of coming up :) enjoy!... after a 3 months I bet you prefer this album over coming up, however i agree coming up is top aslo,

Still, the fault shouldn't remain in Rap's .45 chamber. I disagree: I thoroughly believe that one component, major or not, is nil the absolute and complete ingredient for utilization of formulating how aspiring musicians will get their grooves out of their backdoor jams. Really, find alternative resources to capitalize all those shrunk punks. And while you're at it, I wouldn't mind someone weaning everybody off MTV for a while.
