yea ppl think thats this is just the work of americans.but after ww2 alot of country(america-russia) kinda of fought for the german scientest cause of their rocket technology. so get it srtight. we are able to go to space because of german scientest they did'nt want to put their good brains on building rocket missles so they came to america and build rockets and now we have the space shuttle..i know im gonna get some thumbs downs for this comment cause so ppl think that america is so great

This last launch my brother in~law wanted my sister to go do something with her that particular day.She had to decline because they have a luncheon for the launches.Had to stay faithful to the team I suppose.lol

Outstanding. Our space program is important. Thousands of extraordinary people contribute. Cheers to your relative for her part. In my house every launch is watched as if were the first launch. We love the Shuttles (and will be sad when they're retired). I suppose we'll fall in love with the new vehicle...eventually:)

They say different things on different launches. Depending on the particular missions, credit is given to nations around the world. As an American, I feel special pride of the fact that we launch from Florida with Shuttles/orbiters that we made here. But yes, credit is due (and given) to all contributing nations. The ISS, one the other hand, belongs to all.

This is the work of Americans? Do not forget that it's also the work of many gifted people around the globe that placed their granite of sand to create this art of machinery!!!

What's so ridiculous about it? Newtonian physics say that as long as the acceleration is gradual and nothing is slowing it down, it should be able to go that fast
