back in 1996 i saw ZZ TOP in Brussels (belgium), it was one of the best bands i ever saw live, there where about 12.000 people i guess, i was the only one who was so lucky to get backstage after the concert, it was was a fine evening with lot's of rock'n roll :-) GREAT BAND from Texas, TRES HOMBRES is my favourite album, timeless record, and all the songs are great .... pure rock ! Anyway I've been lucky 'cause I've got all their albums. Please I need somebody can upload more videos about them. I had to sneak this album out of the Ft. Sill PX during Army Basic, because music was not allowed until we entered Artillery School. Coincidentally, we graduated on October 20th, my birthday, and I got this tape out of its hiding place. Talk about a great birthday present to myself! I fell in love with just about every track on this album, but I never got to see Trevor Rabin's actual tour -- or the video for this single. I think I wore that tape out in two years, and I have had three CDs!

Me too. My writing and production took a turn after soaking up this album. My backing vocal style is still based off of this sound to a degree. Crazy filtered guitars and tons of textures. Multiple depths. Just wow. I did a similar thing with Robbie Nevil Day One and I think I've been working on Jellyfish Spilt Milk for about 14 years now. I'll get it eventually. Heh.

LOL I reviewed this song once more with mounting horror as I recognized a little of myself in all of them; but I would say, depending on whether or not I had a perm going (*shudder*), I would have had the hair of the drummer or the bass player. Thankfully I did not do the lead singer's pre-George Michael's mega blow dry mullet, and as a female did not have to suffer the lead guitarist's receding hairline version. Yourself? :)

Excellent! I grew up in the Bay Area and the Eric Martin Band was always on the verge but never quite made it huge in the US. Years later I was desperate to find this album with this song and finally found a CD version with five live tracks from the same album through a broker who scored it from Japan. It's one of my all time favorite CDs. Another great EM song from his solo career: Information. Anyone got a video of that? Saw him perform it live one night at a night club in San Jose.

When I lived in Cleveland, they sold out 5 shows in a row at Blossom Music Center - that would be 115,755 tickets for the five shows if all seats and lawn tickets were sold!!
