Sorry, but I disagree. Maybe some features on the video resemble a gothic imagery, but, really i think of this band more as an avantgarde-experimental intent, rather than industrial(i think of ATR or Ministry, even NIN as industrial music). Also, I really think that this band is hard to fit in styles or generes, but their music is great!... cheers too!

He reminds me of ALEX LIFESON of Rush, not in that they sound alike or have similar styles obviously, but they are both fundamentally sound , creative guitarists that are simple, not doing overly technical stuff But the sound of both of these guys is VERY unique and profound. An excellent mix of Power and Precision ! theres Nothing Gibbons is doing here that is complicated or fancy, its just in your face hardcore Power , an amazing Blues Rock Hybrid mix that sounds INCREDIBLE !

The best one I found was that bridal veils, not trains, used to be 9 yards long if you could afford such an expensive one. Hence, why "the whole nine yards" is often referred to as overdone weddings. It just filtered through to mean complete or overdone in any circumstance.

Hmm - no idea about the "dressed to... " expression, but you mentioned "the whole 9 yards"... In WW2, anti-aircraft artillery came in 27-foot belts of bullets. Shooting planes down, someone might say, "Wow, I gave it the whole nine yards before it finally came down!", or some other use of the phrase. I guess it's a mite off topic, but if you were curious about that other one you mentioned, well, there y'are ^_~ Anywho, I thought you might enjoy a reply that wasn't just "nice tits" ^_^

Anyone ever notice that near the end of this scene when she gets outside..as the camera pans across the crowd towards the taxi, just past the hot dog cart you can briefly see the killer in the blond wig and sunglasses, also looking towards the taxi! While this is a favorite sequence, i have always wondered whether it would have worked better without the music track. The SFX, the off-camera and distant voices enhance the reality of the setting and would perhaps have added an eerie framework of normalcy to the museum stalk. I wonder if this would have built up the atmosphere during the chase even further. I have tried watching the scene without sound, but it needs the SFX and voices. Any thoughts?

Maybe "Dressed to Kill" isn't de Palmas best movie (I think "Obsession", "Carrie" and "The Untouchables" argue about the first three places) but it contains the most unforgettable sequences (for example elevator, train, shower). This one is the absolutely best and the perfect example why I like the most of de Palma's movies until "Carlito's Way": He is able to create sequences of rare beauty and technical brilliance without (many) words. This sequence alone could be an excellent short movie.

You're right this one is better. Yeah this one has the best cast and they have all the songs. I considered them the most versatile jazz-fusion band ever!! But I do agree that Ritchie is the definition of a "Rock god" and Morse is better suited for the Dregs.

Modern Rock guitarist...Recent generation?? Morse has been around for 32 years. I'm friggin 45 years old and grew up with Morse. He may be recent to those who only know him as "the guitarist for Deep Purple." But Morse has been playing OTHER music besides rock, way before he joined Purple. In fact...he was NEVER considered a "Rock" guitarist in all of the years that he was in the Dixie Dregs.

Why don't you silly children shut up arguing over blackmore and morse. They are both hugely influencial guitarists, both have their place in history, both were groundbreakers and trend setters. Both could be outplayed by many guitarists in the business today. Music stands still for no one. And to Guitarman, Blackmore hugely influenced one of the most influencial and highly respected shredders ever, both musically and in his performance.
