partly consistency, many comic books allow for diffrent type of art styles, and quite often what seem like similar style is still subtly different from artist to artists. Comic book art is semi realistic and there is only so much you can do when working with pencil and ink. But at the end day the characters have to be recognisable, and the art style has to appeal to a mass market, and be simplistic enough for the artist to make 20 pages worth, while realistic enough too not seem cartoony.

Cops, don't forget Alkan composed music for-and with-pianos with MUCH more harmonics than todays Steinways, i.e. with Pleyel and Erard which ruled at the time. They allowed much more space between left and right hands, without sounding "hollow" in the middle. Today's keyboard are desperatly flat-and certainly not relevant for XIXth century music.

I think, to be fair, pian000's comment that he piece "sounds Oriental" likely stems from the interesting modality of the piece. Although Alkan writes it as an etude in F-major, the piece doesn't actually use the major scale. It uses F-Lydian. Modes, often for Western listeners, have the effect of exoticism - since we are so accustomed to hearing major and minor tonalities, and not modes. Frankly, I don't think pian000 is too far off by claiming the piece has an Oriental flavor.

I believe HeathinClearLake is correct. All rounds prior to round 4 show both fighters as southpaws. This changes in round 4 where they are shown correctly in the orthdox stance. You can see that the film is in backwards by looking at the crowd in the background. Prior to round 4 the large group of white shirts is on the right side, starting round 4 they are seen on the left side. An interesting and unexpected little mystery.
